Workshop tour does not disappoint.
I booked this as a birthday treat and it was all and more than I expected. Richard our tour guide was funny (I thought) and very knowledgeable about the marque, giving a comprehensive speech and answered any questions with ease. He went into overtime and let us spend ample time in the shop. It was a great start to my 'lotus calendar' for 2024 and highly recommended. I didn't realise there was an upstairs too 😍. Thank you CTL ☺️. A There are no negatives but a cinema type room / equipment would really make the starting video shine. All in all well worth it.

A wonderful afternoon in Norfolk
My friend and I enjoyed a splendid tour of the Classic Team Lotus Workshop given by William Taylor. It was a wonderful experience, made all the better by William's encyclopaedic knowledge and effortless delivery. We got to see some of the most iconic Formula 1cars of past eras. The highlight for me was Ayrton Senna's Camel Lotus Honda 99T. If you love Formula 1 and the history of the sport then this is a must for your bucket list.

Very interesting and entertaining
My 7 year old son loves Lotus! He loves the look of the modern cars and the F1 heritage, more so since he went to Goodwood FOS for the first time recently.
We were on holiday in the area and just happened to drive past the factory. Unfortunately the Lotus cars factory was closed to tours that week, but we stopped off at the Classic Lotus shop and they had availability for a tour that weekend which was amazing.
I thought it might get a bit boring for a 7 year old but he absolutely loved it. Even my wife enjoyed it! I can't recall the Lotus man's name now (I'm useless with names) but he was very interesting, funny and interacted with everyone well. He was very kind to my son as well and created some great memories and a fan for life! So great to see so many of the amazing cars and hear the stories behind them.

Petrolhead Heaven. A definite MUST see.
What a fantastic experience. If you have any petrol in your veins, or are even remotely interested in Formula 1, Team Lotus or classic racing cars then this visit is an absolute MUST. The opportunity to get up close to some real racing history was definitely not to be missed
Richard was an excellent host, extremely knowledgable and very helpful both during the visit and afterwards in the Classic Team Lotus shop.
The visit starts at 1100, but I'd definitely recommend getting there at about 1030 to soak up some of the atmosphere and to have a coffee with your fellow enthusiasts.
The shop is very well stocked and there was plenty of time at the end of the tour to browse. Just make sure you take a credit card. You'll definitely need it.
I can't recommend this visit highly enough and I will definitely be returning again in the future. Thanks to all at CTL for a great visit.

Great to see such iconic racing cars
Great seeing such iconic racing cars.
After arriving at the location and stepping through
the entrance you glance up and see Ayrton Senna's
1987 Lotus 99T. You know that the day will be good
one.
Richard took the group of like minded Lotus
enthusiasts around the facilities. He was fantastic
with all the knowledge and stories from a life
working with Lotus.
Seeing cars that I had watched on TV was very
emotional as they brought back memories of
Sundays listening to Murray Walker and James
Hunt.
Overall, the visit was like being an overgrown child in
a sweetshop. A great experience and
recommended to petrolheads out there.

I have been on these workshop tours a number of times now and thoroughly enjoyed every one. Whilst a very busy functional historic racing team the welcome you receive is very warming and friendly.
The tour is as described and with a fair amount of time at the end to take as many photos as you like and there is plenty to see. In addition to some of the most famous racing cars there has ever been, there are photos, trophy's, models etc.
For anyone thinking of going on a tour, do it, you will not be disappointed.
Iconic cars and very friendly people., an experience not to be missed.
