Remembering Elio

Classic Team Lotus is proud to have played a part in this excellent, and long overdue biography of the late Elio de Angelis.

Elio was a great racing driver and a wonderful person. He drove more Grand Prix for Lotus than anyone else and led the team through the trauma of losing its founder, Colin Chapman.

In his brilliant career Elio won three Grand Prix and was a title challenger in 1985 when he faced and met, better than most, the challenge of having Ayrton Senna as a team mate.
