Lotus type 49; the greatest ever step in Formula One
All of the 49s; 50 Years Special Edition
Team Lotus constructed nine type 49 monocoques. Michel Verrando created this striking artwork, to celebrate 50 years since the 49 began its four-season campaign of Grand Prix and World Championship victories. The 49 realised the greatest ever increase in year-on-year performance, in the history of F1.
Classic Team Lotus has reproduced the artwork, back printed on acrylic, to complement Michel’s visual style and to present a fabulous finish. They really do look fabulous.
The Special Edition is 113 prints; one for each Grand Prix start by a type 49. A Classic Team Lotus Design & Registration plate identifies each print uniquely, stamped with chassis number and the Grand Prix.
Prints are signed on the back by Classic Team Lotus Managing Director, Clive Chapman.
Dimensions are an impressive 100cm x 50cm and the acrylic is best presented without framing.
The price is £200 (plus postage).

Superb reproduction of beautiful illustrations
This artwork arrived this morning, ready for our son's Christmas present. When I opened it, first of all I couldn't believe how carefully packaged it was - no way it could have been damaged in transit.
Then, when John and I looked at it, it was simply beautiful. Printed on the rear of an acrylic panel it's so sharp, so crisp. The rear not only has Clive's signature, but two sturdy flush-mounted hanging panels and little pads on the bottom edge so that it hangs vertically.
It is really stunning, no other word for it. We'll get the Lotus 72 panel as well now, but we'll keep that one!
